Extracting γ Through Flavour-Symmetry Strategies

A brief overview of flavour-symmetry strategies to extract the angle γ of the unitarity triangle is given, focusing on B → πK modes and the Bd → π+π−, Bs → K+K− system. We discuss also a variant of the latter approach for the e+e− B-factories, where Bs → K+K− is replaced by Bd → πK.
